Why Black Diamond?
For nearly two decades, Black Diamond has helped athletes navigate the business of professional football.
Our organization has negotiated professional contracts, advised athletes through difficult career decisions, built brands, managed public relations, developed educational programming, and helped players build successful professional careers.
We've built our reputation on honesty, professionalism, and doing what's right—even when it's difficult.
The Black Diamond Players Association reflects those same values.
OUR COMMITMENT TO ETHICS
For nearly two decades, Black Diamond Founder & CEO Dr. Brandy Runyan has believed that professional athletes deserve honest guidance, ethical representation, and someone willing to stand up for what's right—even when it's difficult.
Throughout her career, she has worked to educate athletes, expose unethical practices, and advocate for greater accountability within professional football.
Her efforts to combat fraudulent individuals posing as player agents—including those attempting to infiltrate the Canadian Football League—helped bring national attention to an issue affecting both athletes and organizations.
Those efforts ultimately contributed to the development of Article 28.1 of the Canadian Football League Collective Bargaining Agreement, strengthening protections surrounding player representation and reinforcing the importance of ethical standards throughout professional football.
The Black Diamond Players Association exists because we believe every player deserves that same level of advocacy.
Our commitment extends beyond individual careers.
We're committed to raising the standard of professionalism across the game itself.
