Social Media & Digitial Content Intern
Black Diamond Sports & Entertainment Group is seeking a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy Social Media Manager Intern to assist with the day-to-day management and growth of our digital presence.
This is not an internship where you will spend your time observing from the sidelines.
Our Social Media Manager Intern will have the opportunity to work with real brands, athletes, entertainment professionals, events, programs, and campaigns while learning how social media functions inside an established sports, entertainment, and public relations organization.
Black Diamond has nearly two decades of experience in sports management, athlete representation, entertainment management, public relations, branding, media, and professional development. Because our organization operates across multiple divisions and serves a diverse client base, interns have the opportunity to create content covering much more than one sport or industry.

-
Assisting with community engagement and audience development
-
Working with Black Diamond leadership and other divisions to identify stories worth telling

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:
-
Creative and comfortable generating new content ideas

A strong writer with excellent grammar and communication skills

Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and emerging social platforms
-

Organized enough to manage multiple brands, campaigns, and deadlines
-
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
-
Responsive and able to communicate professionally with our team
-
Interested in sports, entertainment, public relations, marketing, branding, or digital media
-
Willing to learn and accept feedback

Able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries when working around clients and sensitive information

Experience with social media analytics, video editing, Adobe products, content scheduling platforms, photography, or sports/entertainment content is a plus, but not required.

This Internship Is a Great Fit for Students Studying
Marketing, Social Media, Digital Media, Public Relations, Communications, Sport Management, Entertainment Management, Journalism, Advertising, Graphic Design, or related fields.
Students from other majors with a strong portfolio or demonstrated interest in social media are also encouraged to apply.

What You'll Gain
Our goal is for interns to leave Black Diamond with more than a line on their résumé.
You will have opportunities to develop:
-
Real-world social media management experience
-
Portfolio-ready content and campaign experience
-
Experience working within sports and entertainment

Strong interns may also have opportunities to take on expanded responsibilities, contribute to major Black Diamond campaigns and events, and be considered for future paid or contract opportunities as the organization grows.

Academic Credit
Black Diamond welcomes students seeking internship or practicum credit through their college or university. We are happy to work with approved academic internship requirements when appropriate.
Students are responsible for confirming eligibility and internship-credit requirements with their institution.

What We Expect
We take internships seriously and expect our interns to do the same.
This position requires consistent communication, reliability, professionalism, creativity, and follow-through. Because much of our work involves professional athletes, entertainers, business partners, and confidential client information, interns are expected to maintain appropriate professional standards at all times.
We understand that interns are here to learn. We do not expect you to know everything on day one.
We do expect you to communicate, meet agreed-upon deadlines, ask questions when necessary, accept feedback, and take ownership of your responsibilities.
